I can't compare it to fs22. But you are right about the bugs. I have to compare it to FS17. I found it better in many ways. There are to many bugs in games lately.
minimal efford. maximum profit.
-Cities skylines 2
- Planet coiaster 2
- Farming simulator 25
all suffer from the same problems were there is literally a bug in every game mechanic. And then they rely on Mods. I Hate mods, spending hours searching, downloading, and fixing files if its not compatible. and then its all 3d party at "own risk" not knowing its safe to use.
see the hacked "traffic mod" in skylines. Its second time this happend to me. So no more mods thank you.
1) great improvements to
- lighting / graphics (espacially @ night)
- level of detail
2) disappointed; mainly because of: lacking small conveyor belt, fonts too small, messy menus >resulting click orgy, cant buy land which is not farmland.
really hope for improments soon >surely, its gonna be better ! best regards
The Riverbend Springs Map is awesome! The ferries, the little tucked away farms and build areas. So much detail! The fog, the shadows, rain, snow...tornadoes! The sound of the trailers going over bumps. There are more options and choices right out of the box than any other version so far. It was once (2009) wheat, barley, canola, and corn. That was it!
I am aware of the bugs. There have been release bugs in every version, and I'm confident they all will get patched. More complexity = more bugs. (I think there is a life lesson in there somewhere).
I love mods. In Fs22 I was playing with over 300 of them. Every morning I wake up and check the mod sites. It's like xmas! Free stuff! A lot of the vanilla features were once just Mods.
Below are my specs, Running everything on High without problems. Game looks gorgeous. I did install Reshade to stop the flickers, which I may or may not uninstall after the patch. ( I kinda like it)
Windows 11 Home
AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
32GB Memory
1TB Storage / 1TB HDD / 512GB SSD
Not a monster machine, but not a potato.
I am not saying you are wrong in your opinions, these are your experiences and preferences. But believe me, as a loooooong time player, no one would be as ticked off as I if I felt this version truly was worse than the others. Call me a fanboy, or a shill, but since 2009 I haven't gotten a thing from Giants except years of enjoyment. Not even a T-shirt!. I am utterly bereft of swag.
Anecdotally: My nephew came to visit the other day. He is a computer graphic artist, and has worked on some AAA titles, watching me play, he was VERY impressed. "wow they really pulled out all the stops on the graphics" he said.
Its like what I been playing also since 2009 lol. It has way more then any one before it, and all them had bugs on launch lol The only major diffrence right now is there is no mod workshop out yet, but stuff that use to be kind half ass done by a mode is done now by base game its big deal but people using hell out of mods are like "but I had a weaker version of this I wanted more!" its like dude they can't create 200+ mods worth of content that took what 3 years for tons of people to make it would costed a fortune lol.
Its like beth players goign "I am pretty sure skyrim looked better then this..." Its like yeah if you ran every single high res, and graphichs mod ever made sure lol "Well it had more content." No no it didn't even adding up all the dlc if you take out your 50+ mods its a worst game then the new one "well um why they no just steal the modders work and put it in base game!" Because it would be illegal and wrong?
