Objects cannot be rotated

A few days ago I was able to build a greenhouse so that the water connection was in the right place.
Now I cannot rotate the building with either the right or the middle mouse button.
The Q + E keys do not work either, although these keys were assigned in the settings.
Is there a tip for this?

If you press F1 and get the help menu, what does that say?

Unfortunately not. This only rotates the map, but not the object. I successfully built my first greenhouse a few days ago.

Do you have any mod that might cause this issue?

Try restarting the game and see if the problem still there.

I have not installed a mod. The game has already been restarted several times. Could this be a bug? My version is 1.2.1.0
I'm getting desperate!

Even a new installation didn't help

Try a new save, start a new map with a lot of money and try doing it.

Only thing I can think of is that either your settings need to be reset or there is something inside your save and/or way you're doing it which is causing this issue.

Resetting the keyboard settings
has helped. Even with the current savegame.

I have the same issue but resetting the keyboard settings does nothing.

I have to hold right mouse button while moving the mouse to rotate objects before placing them. B lets me place anywhere and R is to toggle snapping to the grid.
