What is wrong with Grass.

Sowed a grass field for making silage bales. But after its first cut the field shows harvested and the grass never regrew without cultivating and reseeding the field again. I s this correct?
I would have thought that grass has a tendency to regrow once established thus the need to constantly mow it.
Thoughts?

Thats a bug. You should get at least 3 harvest of grass pr. year. if you fert and lime as it needs

Did you by any chance, disable Seasonal Growth? If yes, go back in to the Game Settings and see if it says Paused and not NO, mine said Paused, turn it to No and it worked.

I planted grass and could only harvest it once. It never regrows. The field shows that it needs rolled but, I've used the only roller from the grass care tools and the field state never changes. I do have seasonal growth disabled and set to NO, not paused. I must assume it is a bug or the tool is bugged.

Just did a harvest on my one and only grass field. So after the harvest was done the grass field ONLY show as "harvested", i ran over with the roller and it immediately changed state to Grass and growing. It also got 100% Fertilised state as it should from rolling (With the blue Grass roller.

You might need to rip it up an plant grass again an don't use the roller to fert use the fert spreader

That's what I have tried.

For anyone else that has this issue, here's what I did. First I tried plowing the field and planted a different crop and went through the harvest which all went fine. I prepared the field again and planted grass. I harvested then used the grass roller, the only one available in the store so far, and again the grass would not grow anymore.

I used a mulcher on it and the grass began to grow again. Now I don't bother with rolling it because either my map or the roller is bugged.

I don't use a roller and can mow every time I need some grass/hay/silage without issue. I may fertilise ocassionally if gear is out and about, but that's all.
