missing mods folder

i bought the game from giants software. when i go to add mods from the internet i cant find my mods folder in my games files where it should be. I've read reddit posts and seen that you might have to create your own mods folder and i did that and i sent the online mods to it but its still not showing up on the game like it used to on fs22. anyone else have similar issues and found a way to resolve the issue?

I would try verifying the game files and see if that fixes the issue first

Also if it still doesn't show up download a mod on the in-game modhub and it should automatically create a mod folder

The mods folder in Farming Simulator games is a directory where you can place custom mods to enhance and modify the game. Mods are additional files created by the community or developers that can add new vehicles, equipment, maps, scripts, or game play features to the game. Here's how it works:

Location of the Mods Folder
PC:
For most Farming Simulator 25, the mods folder is found in the following directory:
[Install Drive Letter e.g. C:]/Users/<WindowsUserName>/Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2025/mods

This directory is your game profile folder and also has your gameSettings.xml file and your gameSaves folders. You can change your default mod folder in your gameSettings.xml file. The setting is at the top and will be set to the default location. But you can change it to any folder you want.

Consoles:
Mods on consoles are managed through the in-game ModHub and are not directly accessible as files.
