Game not worth if using Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter with H-Pattern Shift Plate

Hello,
This for people who are thinking of buying the game right now and use the Thrustmaster brad of wheels and shifters.
My Wheel and Shifter are the T248 and the TH8A.

The in game default key binds for my wheel and shifter say that my Clutch pedal is my Accelerate and that my Accelerate is my Clutch. Not totally a big issue since you can just switch them around in the key binds.

The big issue comes in with the TH8A Shifter with the H-Pattern Shift Plate. The game has decided that each shift is tied to a specific key on a controller. So the Gear 1 key bind is set to be RT like Right Trigger on a Xbox Controller. Now again not totally a big issue until you get to Gear 8. Gear 8 will be set to what is the Options Menu Key on a Xbox Controller, BUT HERE IS THE KICKER the Options Key is for SOME REASON already set on the Shifter to the Open Menu key bind and IT CAN'T BE CHANGED.

So you can't use Gear 8 at all on the TH8A Shifter with the H-Pattern Shift Plate. Now some may say that it's not a big deal. But here is the thing. On Riverbend Springs map you start with a John Deere Tractor and guess what it has 8 Gears (technically has 16 with 2 gear boxes).

So right away you can't use the highest gear on the default tractor they give you on a starting map while using the TH8A Shifter with the H-Pattern Shift Plate.

My personal recommendation is that if you use a TH8A Shifter to either not purchase the game wait and see if they change it or to not use the shifter in H-Pattern and instead use the Sequential Shift Plate and just use the Gear Up and Gear Down key binds.

Hey,

on my Thurstmaster T500 gear shift I also cannot change setting for R (reverse) 'button'. It is binded by default to Show Menu action but I would like to clear it so the only action would be for example Set Reverse Gear (I don't know the english version of the actions) or Gear 8. When I try to clear the action it says it cannot be set (actually it cannot be changed) fot the controller. I hope it will be fixed.
