Canola e.g. you don't need to mulch. Weat you have to mulch.
i had weat and the map shows its muclched but i did´nt, so when i do not collect straw the mulching stubbles seems needless or have no further effect ;-)
Did you mulch and then direct seed, or did you use fertilizer before?
We had two fields. One canola where it mulched by harvesting it. And one wheat were we mulched it manualy.
Canola could be direct seeded. The wheat not, but i fertilized the wheat before seeding.
Former Oats field is mulched manually +straw was chopped by combine and than fertilized with manure to 100%......Canola doesnt seed
