But point im making is CAN steer with out power but its very difficult.
EDIT - Now if talking about electronic steering thats different. That does need power.
The number of times a farmer would have to steer a tractor out of trouble AS the engine failed could be counted on one hand. Speeds are not all that high either so at best all you need to do is stop, not play dodge the wheat stalk.
But I like to.. split hairs as you put it :-) Not to be rude or agressive. Just to point out some times that some thing while factually true isnt always the whole answer. As in this case while I agree not needed. It can be done. But as additional info its true can steer with out power. But the need for it.. not so much.
There is always pressure in the hydraulic system in some form.
But just wanted to say its great to see a farmer actually here. Best info comes from the source they say :-)
The only downside is as you say, when the engine cuts out from a stall or anything, input just seems to be completely disabled - meaning you can't even apply the brakes leading to vehicles rolling around.
Worse than that, if I'm parking the tractor on an incline even keeping it in gear before shutting off the engine - as soon as the engine is cut off it begins to roll.
I've fed this back on the Giants feedback site, so hopefully they can improve it or at least give us the option to manually control the handbrake.
