I hope they keep it on to make it compatibility?!?. There are a lot of Simgames they don´t work well with the Hori Hardware because of the Axle Problems.
If you want a truck wheel look at Moza racing truck wheel.
Maybe the Moza are better in quality and function but the Hori Hardware feels more like the real deal, with the Shifterknob and all the spezifical buttons and the look is very familiar with that from Scania Trucks. From my experience the buttons from Hori are not really hardcoded because i could set it up on the most Simgames.
Compatibility is varied and inconsistent, but not exclusive. https://stores.horiusa.com/HPC-044U/compatibility It specifically says it's compatible with FS22 baring some of the higher number buttons. It doesn't suggest the ACC isn't recognized
This information is not updated, i wrote an e-mail to the Hori support team they confirmed and try to figure out with the production team from Japan to find a way out.
Hope as soon as possible.
It seems not a real problem, for my experience i think it´s the combination of the gas and brake pedal. Farming Sim thought the brake pedal is a gas throttle, the game use it as a slider for both, accelrating and brakeing. Even in games like Snowrunner they got somethings wrong with the axles?!?.
I have a Moza wheelbase, and it doesn't work well with most games.
For Farm Simulator, I'd much rather either get the Logitech farm sim controller the nice little Thrustmaster wheel/joystick package.
Have the Farming Set from Hori to, it ´s really nice and immersive to play with it.
I got both Hori Hardwares for Farming Games and Truck Vehicle Controller for ETS2/ATS.
The Farming Controller is easy to use with one handed, you get a knob to and it´s compatibliy with most Sim Games it doesn´t have Force Feedback the only feedback is the internally Spring that turn the wheel back into the middle position and the sidecontroller with joystick with two ♥♥♥♥♥♥-hat´s.
The Truck Controll Hardware has Force Feedback without a knob but you could buy the knob seperatly, and set up the wheel, how strong the FF-Effects should be in the ETS2 or ATS Game.
It´s up to you man, in both Games you really don´t need to spin your arm. On ETS2/ATS only if you try yourself to park the trailer but you could skip it. And on Farming Sim mostly of the time you drive straight ahead on the field work. It could be a pain if you use forestry work and crane movement with the Joystick.
And nobody has to laugh at you because it's your hobby. It's also my favorite thing to do, to unwind after a hard shift at work. And if people need to laugh, it's their fault.
My arms and legs were flaying all over trying to keep balance. They raced to help me.. but afterwards all started laughing at how silly for a second i looked. I also had to laugh when i thought about it as well lol If you cant laugh at your own mistakes.. then your not living a full life i always say :-)
