How to move the "Mods" folder to another drive?
The game places the "Mods" folder on the system drive by default. I have a small disk and I would like to move this folder to the disk where the game is located. I know that it was possible to do this in FS22, but I had to specify the path in the game files. How to do this in FS25?

probably the same process as 22

navigate to the Documents folder, then My Games, and then Farming Simulator 2022. From there, you can cut and paste the folder to the desired location.

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2017
you will find the file gameSettings.xml.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="no" ?>
<gameSettings revision="15">
<modsDirectoryOverride active="True" directory="K:\FS22Mods"/>

thats how mine is and it will save to that drive now

In gameSettings.xml (found under Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025) specify where FS should look for mods (which directory).
Be sure to set the "active" attribute to true (it is false by default).
<modsDirectoryOverride active="true" directory="J:/_fs25_mods/standard"/>

Just moving the folder probably won't help. In FS22, a new path had to be specified in the game files so that the game could "see" the folder on another disk.

Thanks for your help, I think that was it.
Could you give me the exact path where to find the gameSettings.xml file?
I have very little knowledge of modding, but I managed to do it in FS22 after giving the exact path and order of steps.

I've already managed. Thank you very much, my friend, for your help, now I can download mods without fear that my disk will fill up.
