[gzdoom] Any mod-friendly arena/survival maps to play?
as title says - Im currently searching for maps/mappacks, designed in form of cs-like deathmatch/arena. E.g no puzzles, no deep exploration - just you, guns and bunch of enemies (which will spawn in waves by design or via Demon CounterStrike). Ahh, and yes - I want it to be compatible with custom guns (la tailor girl, demon steele, brutal doom and so on).

Things, I've already tried:
- Doomslayer Chronicles. It fits my tastes perfectly but, sadly, framerate is more than awfull, even with low res patches.
- Stronghold. Kinda ok, BUT, since it feature its own guns - compatibility with gun-related mods is terrible.

Any suggestions?

You could attempt to mod stronghold with your own guns... or just delete their gun files... or replace their guns with your guns in your wads files.

I recommend to try this mod, Manly-ass doom. It's not what exactly you are looking for but you'll be satisfied with it. It features Perma-death, new difficulties, and random level generation.

If you play this mod in random level mode, it offers everything you want : no puzzles, no deep exploration, just you and bunch of enemies cause randomly generated levels are not very complicated.

I was also looking for arena/survival maps like you, But all of them I have found were kinda dull, and I started to realize that Doom doesn't work well with wave-based survival. After some waves the map is filled with lots of corpses which is kinda annoying (Especially mancubus and Cacodemon corpses), and finding 1 or 2 remained enemies in the entire map is tedious. These problems can be solved by playing new random levels everytime you die with Mandoom.

I have already played Mandoom for many hours but I'm still not bored. You have only one life and you can't save except when exiting the game, So it's truely a survival.

I play it with vanilla doom 2 but you can also play it with other mods like brutal doom.
