Struggling with leveling up, any tips

I love this game. Even though I am a quirk at games like this normally I actually can play it normally. I however seem to struggle with one part. The leveling up. Somehow I cannot get it done fast enough. I only can get one streak ready and that's it. Anyone have any tips on how I can handle this the best?

Of all four characters the archer and monk are pretty useless, I generally focus on leveling mage an warrior. It's more of an issue with not being fast enough to clear most of the leveling chance so there isn't any "tips" given to improve that. Just focus on warrior and mage, there is a achievement to just get 1 character level 60 I believe.

It's best to clear the rows that are already set up before moving the runes into position, at least that's how I find it easier to deal with.

This is so true. Only focus on moving stuff when you have to. When it shows at the beginning, you have time to move stuff, do it then, and then quickly scan for stuff that's already matched up and go back to moving items.

Archer is the strongest after warrior.
