The game wont recognize my controller's inputs. It sees that I have a controller connected (Xbox series X controller connected via USB C) but it doesn't register any button inputs. Specifically, when selecting controller type it says to press and hold controller buttons, but the box never begins to fill like when I hold down a keyboard key....

When entering the settings of the game, the screen goes black. Music still plays and it seems (by the sounds) the game can still be controlled, just not seen. Esc or other methods to leave settings do not work. I changed my display settings from HDR=auto to HDR=off, no change. I edited SpellDiskDeviceSetting.es3 to my desktop resolution, no change. I removed the save game (even though I just installed), no change. What can I do instead of refunding?...
