You know, EDF5 was half of the story of 4.1 right? Didn't change until mission 37 or so? It's kind of a recap, of sorts, but EDF6 doesn't start with a recap, it starts after the fight with god, or so it seems.

totally agree, looked at a few you tube game play videos, I was hoping to see better animations or graphics or something, looks exactly the same as EDF5, I've got zero inspiration to sink money and time into this game.

While the story is fun to follow in these games, the main reason people play is the gameplay.

it is just a crying shame that most of the missions i played so far recycle the script but just use new (badly acted) voice acting, word for word, scene for scene, just models of enemy types changed, this is literally a copy paste game with a new paint job.

this is not me crapping on the game, this is the facts

It did look extremely EDF5 on a stream I saw, to the point I wasn't sure if they'd accidentally played the wrong game or not.

Yeah they are pretty good at recycling content and constantly using their outdated garbage game engine but still selling for AAA price though.

There are new enemy types, new weapons, new abilities for each class, improved graphics... I'm having fun and I also have all the other EDFs

I spent ages levelling up in EDF4 then I kind of lost interest in EDF5, for me EDF6 needed to demonstrate it was a radically better game, result : they failed.
