Not a good idea with EDF though, the game logic is tied directly to the framerate and it's hard-capped at 60 for a reason. It's the same engine they've been using since Robot Alchemic Drive in 2002 and it's the same reason why there is no frameskipping and the game just slows down when the framerate tanks.
If it works for you then GG but don't be surprised if you have frequent crashes or end up falling through the map or something.
Disagree here, higher fps = lower input lag and smoother image. With the nature of the game it would massively benefit from higher FPS especially with how basic the graphics are. I'd love to have lower input lag and a much smoother image when flying around.
I care. Higher framerates are more enjoyable, they look smoother and more fluid, and lend to a better experience overall. Fast-paced games like EDF absolutely benefit visually by upping the FPS. Yes 60FPS is alright, it's playable, but 120+ would be objectively better for many reasons. It's a real shame the FPS has been capped to 60FPS. It's playable but lets not pretend there's no legitimate reason to want more than 60 lol.
