Scenario 2 Timber Requirement
How on earth is this possible, not enough of lots of things, space, right cards, pointers to how it's done, so many things wrong.

Hi sethndavid,

The scenarios do indeed play a little differently compared to kingdom mode and can be really tricky from time to time.

I would recommend that you always concentrate on the next main quest, even if the urge to ‘settle freely’ is often strong.

This will save you cards, resources and, most importantly, building space for later quests.

If you have any further questions, feel free to join the official TerraScape Discord, where we can help you faster and more specifically.

Best wishes

Un balanced and un achievable goals do not make for a good experience, I'll come back when you've balanced the game.

Thanks for your feedback (although I'm not a dev, just a moderator here)

What exactly is unbalanced and unachievable for you?

All Scenarios and Puzzles are solvable, although it can get indeed a bit tricky, especially in the later ones.

Thanks for sharing your feedback!

Best wishes

Thanks for reply, The 'problem' is getting the Timber requirement met - x/16, i can get to 10/16 easily, but there's no land left for expansion and no obvious way of getting to 16/16 from 10/16. Putting down a sawmill or lumberjack only gets you so far, and the amount can't be determined precisely because of lack of information.

Just to be clear, the x/16 counter refers to the number of main quests (green) you have already fullfilled.

The main quests itself are in green.

Which is the 10th main quest exactly?

I also struggled in the beginning, but meanwhile I finished all 5 scenarios. Read many tipps here in forum and watched video on youtube. So I realised what I did wrong.
Best advice, don't level up too fast, start with drawing many settlement decks in the beginning to create points and get more decks later on.

Inlead gave me the following advice, which is very helpful:

"Hey titanium,

sorry to hear that, here are some tricks that helped me to adjust to the new cards, balances and merged Buildings (I'm also onboard since the very early access):

- try out kingdom mode first and try to unlock as much decks and merged building as possible
- for the merged buildings you can also sneak peak at them with creative mode, in order to get to know their building plans
- there are also some visual guides for all decks and merged buildings here on steam as well as on the discord
- speaking of discord, feel free to join the official community server, we are a cozy crowing community that try to help out all players

Hope some of this may help a bit!

Best wishes

The 10th main quest should be "place 2 market places with gold rating".

While doing the quests are important, we also need to leave enough buffer so we can pull a few extra decks if we need to... in order to keep the game going. Settlement deck is a reliable source for that. I've also learned to leave some holes here and there to fit in other buildings later on, like Market, Bath, etc.

Some times its just bad luck and your deck doesn't give you that one card needed for a merge... Would be nice if we can spent point to buy specific card from a deck (e.g. add wild card to the special deck @ dev).

Just did this scenario. It was INSANELY tedious. I enjoyed when I was able to focus on the main quest - but due to the RNG/gambling aspect of pulling cards... I had a LOT of cards that weren't relevant. And sometimes I'd decide to dump all of one card such as Bath Houses or Taverns, and then find out - oh the game is going to make a quest out of me placing those. So now I have to work on creating Gold placements.

I think the scenario needs work.
