Ideas for This Game
Hello everybody. I have a deep love for games like this and this one scratches so many itches I have while simultaneously making me want more. I didn’t want to leave a review, because I think it’s great, rather I just wanted to layout a lot of ideas that I had as I played this game.

1. Bridges- some sort of district where if you build houses on either side it makes a city district with bridges

2. Always allow water related cards even f you don’t choose fisheries.

3. I love love love the idea that there are these merge districts possible. But, I want there to be like 400 of them because there are so many cool possibilities. Some could be just totally new ones (I really wanted one where if you surround a square with villager homes or a garden with Houses that it became something. You could do the same thing if you surround a church with gardens and it becomes a cemetery) Also, some of them could just be variations of the same thing. (Instead of a brewery with orchards you could also do a wheat field brewery, things like that). This merger thing is perhaps my favorite feature and god my brain ran wild with all of the things you could do that I do desperately wanted to see.

4. I think every deck needs like one or two more cards. I think expanding that differentiation will really encourage replayability.

5. Expanding the island. It would be really cool if you had the ability to like choose cards to add new small branching islands to the main thing. It would be a cool way to make players balance gaining points with investing in literally making more space. Do I choose the food deck to get some more points or do I have enough points to choose the “New Island” card.

6. Walls could be a fun inclusion. Like if you surround the keep with a layer of houses maybe walls go up around them and you get a bonus for that.

7. Variations and alt styles for everything. I think that including alternate styles or variations for all of the buildings/cards in the game would be very fun. The possibilities are also endless- Colonial America, Victorian England, Feudal Japan, Mesomerican, Egyptian, Western Africa.

8. Building up?- I don’t know how this would work logistically but maybe some way to build some buildings taller so the city doesn’t get so sprawly. Maybe if you put four longhouses next to each other it can merge and become more dense.

9. Allow us to build monasteries on mountains- I don’t know why but this could be a very cool feature and allow us to get more use out of mountains.

10. Make merge districts that are lines of 3 or something. They don’t have to be worth a ton but sometimes you end up with lines of tiles where you can’t make anything mergeable and maybe gardens could get a three tile row merge into a maze garden.

11. Some sort of mergeable thing with lumber mills. I know you can make the forest settlement but I think there should be some sort of Royal Forest equivalent for lumbermills and sawmills.

12. More unique buildings like Treasuries and Chapels but any new such unique buildings I think deserve a mergable creation. I find it wild that Chapels can’t merge with village homes or gardens or squares. It would make them more useful and more interesting.

Anyway, this is my long list of ideas that popped into my brain as I played. I love this game so much and I’m going play the living heck out of it and a lot of these popped into my brain as ways to encourage replayability.

PS- thank you creators for including pins so I can track where I want to build things. 100/10

I had some more ideas for possible merge districts while playing today

1.- Diamond shape wth four Squares creating a plaza
2.- Hunter Cabin, Gathering Hut, Forester, Farm creating a small Thorpe settlement thing
3. 2 Squares +2 Gardens in a Diamond shape create a Boulevard
4. chapel + Church and 2 Squares create an Abbey
5. Church + Market + Treasury + Square created a City Center
6. A Mining Town Settlement Equivalent for the Forestry Settlement
7. Monastery + 6 Orchards create a Monastery Settlement (maybe add in a Brewery instead of one of the Orchards.)

The more I play this game the more ideas pop into my brain

Nice suggestions bro :)
especially the merging thing , YES we need more merging , a lot of merging districts
it would be even more nice if we could merge some merged districts to something even more bigger , it feels so good

Although older, this post deserves a bump! These are all great ideas. I agree that the merged building mechanic is the highlight of the game, (along with the inbuilt effect of terrain manipulation) and for me it also leads to fun brainstorming :) I’d like to add to your list some of my ideas:

1. Introduction of a castle deck: Archer, Stable, Tower, Jousting area.
Archers score with housing and maybe new resource of chickens, stable introduces horses and horse farms. The castle itself is a large merged building of 1 archer, 1 stable, 2 cottages and 3 towers.

2. With the new tower building you could do all sorts of fun stuff. For example a Merchant Hall, with housing, a treasury and a tower, or a Wizard’s Tower with an alchemist building and a library.

3. I wouldn’t mind leaning into magic a bit more, maybe even introduce a magic deck, with a potion shop for instance. I also thought about giving the swamp biome some love, with a witches hut maybe. Or, at the very least, a (non magic related) peat farm.

4. The river biome is underpowered now and really needs some love too. I would introduce a water mill building, or at least the wind mill becomes a regular mill and will be wind on land and water near a river. A water mill can lead to synergy with the undervalued workmanship buildings.

5. I would definitely agree on adding Walls and making a merged park building for a larger city square.

6. I believe the city in general could use a lot more merging. Artisan’s quarter’s, Entertainment quarter’s, large squares, maybe even canals when built along rivers.
The town hall, chapel, hospital, theatre - all could use some (more) unique merged building.

That’s it for now, thanks for the inspiration.
