Final thoughts on Taiko
I've been on this site for a long time, I think it's time to give a critical review of a game I've put lots of time and effort into. Enough of the circlejerking, I'm going to be real with you guys. We're going in raw, that's how we do it on Reddit (btw Bernie 2016, every vote counts!)

I will split this into four sections as I know many people were not gifted like me and have trouble making sense of more complex writing styles. Solgar magnesium citrate.

- Initial Presentation
Taiko is a terrible game with no original thought put into it. It's just a ripoff of OsuTaiko with a lame instrument layout. It doesn't even give you a real drum feeling, and since when do drums have a huge screen with flashy effects? The immersing 3D background stage is not to be seen on this game, only flashy videos that put my child into epileptic shock while he was sleeping upstairs. The 3D lanes the notes fall down (do these even have a name lol) are instead 2D, making the game feel cheap and older than it really is. Not only is it a terrible Chinese knockoff of a classic American series with well-known music, but I don't know any of these songs? Where's the rock music, the techno, or at least some J-Pop like the full version of the Watamote intro music? Not even songs from other rhythm games like OsuTaiko's Banging Burst or Freedom Dive? I just can't connect with this game upon first sight like I can with other import titles.

- Gameplay
This game is too easy, trying to hide it by adding a bunch of extra keys. It's presented in an intimidating, overwhelming manner like you can go "pro" in this, but it only has twelve levels? OsuTaiko has a lot more than that, buddy! By level 4, I was bored to tears and gave up on trying to unlock the harder stuff. It took me two months to start unlocking level 4 songs, and it was only because of all the keys giving a fake feeling of difficulty. The icing on the cake is there's no scroll speed adjustment, you have to change it every time you play another song. Meanwhile, on OsuTaiko you can set it to a specific number and be done with it forever. Overall I was disappointed with the gameplay of this.

-Setup
If you want to play with a keyboard it's a total nightmare. I spent $400 on a mechanical keyboard imported from Japan so I could improve at OsuTaiko. Apparently, that doesn't mean anything around these parts. Did I mention the game is unnecessarily large? Learn to clean up your code and unused files. A few dozen songs, short video files, a few config files, and images shouldn't take up this much space.

- My Simple Conclusion
Just play OsuTaiko. It's easy to set up and has a lot more songs with a bigger and better community. It's cool to see people make other things, but I will not be playing this game until you fix these serious flaws, basically an overhaul at this point.

"Not even songs from other rhythm games like OsuTaiko's Banging Burst or Freedom Dive?"

this is funny in perhaps the not intended way since this game literally does have freedom dive in it

"The icing on the cake is there's no scroll speed adjustment, you have to change it every time you play another song."

i get that this is a troll post or copypasta or something but this unironically does actually annoy me constantly. this game doesn't even show the bpm on song select lol you just have to guess

If you are going to troll can you put a little more effort into it? Maybe even own the game also.
