Go to Steam -> Settings -> Controller, it should show up there. Then configure the button mappings. Most should be obvious. No analog sticks, just d-pad. And the drum hit zones (don = red, interior & ka = blue, rim) should be mapped to L3/R3 (stick clicks) for don, and LT/RT (triggers) for ka.
Then just use "drum controller" as input method inside the game when asked.

It's sad that Bandai Namco didn't add built-in, support, but it was to be expected. They'll release new tatacons for PS5 and Xbox, both of which will work with the PC version:

It's not working for me for the Switch drum, how do I get controller layout to register the rim and center hits?
EDIT: i got it to work, i wasnt hitting the drum hard enough LOL
Any tips?
But recently I've used 2 M2 velcro pads and cut them up so I put four cut pieces on the surface i'm playing on and the other four cut pieces on the black pads at the bottom of the controller. Works really well for my setup.
