Nope that was skin Option and quick google search says no..
That's OK. I found a way to do it: apparently the medal ghosts are referred to as opponents (which makes sense I guess). It seems I needed to bind a key to hide opponents as well. I forgot to update the thread afterwards when I learned this but thank you for your help anyway. :)
I believe in multiplayer you are only able to see the ghosts of other players on the map and not your own, so pressing the G key for ghosts and O key for display will not work in multiplayer unfortunately, but only in the campaign.
