TrackMania² Canyon

TrackMania² Canyon

100% save file for Canyon, Valley and Stadium?
I want all the tracks but I just can't get them legit because the difficulty is trash.

I don't give a damn about racing or getting the best time in this game: I just want to have fun playing all the cool giant Skalectrics style tracks and beating them, but I can't do that if the game locks them all behind fake difficulty i.e. hard course design coupled with horrible time requirements/opponent AI, especially for the gold medals which are the only ones worth getting. Stadium is the worst because its opponent AI is run by SHODAN from the very first track grade and the player controlled cars handle like glazed a.rse.

I despise speed running, score attacks and forced time trials as it ruins any game even if the course itself is otherwise good. If I want to improve my best times, then it must be on my terms, not the games' as I know full well I will never get that good myself if I try. Trackmania expects the player to be a master at speed running just to progress to the end and unlock every track. F.UCK THAT!

It took me at least 20 years to beat Pro Pinball Timeshock for example and even then that was because I was forced to resort to cheating by using the Ultra edition's Remove Glass feature. Same with unlocking Green Hill in Sonic Adventure 2, especially in one of my two Dreamcast copies (one emulated and one physical, this was the former).

I don't mind if they just for bragging rights and reaching the top of the leaderboard e.g. world rankings in Audiosurf, Redout or pretty much almost all time trial modes in older racing games, but that's not the case here: at least 50% to 85% of the Trackmania 2 games are gated behind winning badly designed time trials.

I haven't beaten Core Design's Free Running for a similar reason (in this case unfair forced score attacks) nor gotten even a quarter of the way through Carve Jet Ski Racing on Xbox classic for the same reason as Free Running.

There's no save games since your progress is saved online.

the game doesnt expect you to be a speed running master, its pure trial and error

Solo tracks from stadium and canyon are really easy. Why do u need a save file? I dont think that it would be fun to have all tracks.

No they aren't if you want to get gold on all of them. As someone said before, they're pure trial and error when it comes to beating the gold medal times and that part is not fun. If you're just playing them for the sake of playing them and getting to the end, then I don't mind so much and it is very fun indeed.

There is nothing worse than playing a game you like but know you can never beat. (especially when people like Total Barracuda act like total unhelpful p.ricks when you ask around for a solution)

You need all gold if you want to play all the tracks. I want them so I get to play them and try to beat them. I don't care about getting the best time and I resent being forced to do that just to progress. Stadium is actually the hardest being the cars control badly compared to Canyon when you're on the track and the medal AI is a lot stricter than Canyon.

I can get gold in Canyon up to third last or second last track grade reliably with practice. That's about my limit. I barely get any gold in Stadium and I haven't played Valley yet to compare.

Also, it's spelled "you".

I have all gold medals from botth games: stadium and canyon. I had so much fun playing solo. That was in 2011 / 2012. I have 1000+ hrs on both games and I've never had any error. This game probably the best drifting, racing game I've ever played on Steam.

Would you be able to give tips on how to do that please? Since I was informed above that no savegames exist, this information could be most useful.

If you can't beat gold then you can't progress.
However i'd call Trackmania games Fantastically Frustrating! They are both fun and controller throwing, rage inducingly hard some times.

You can download copies of all of the tracks on TM exchange, so you don't have to unlock them.

It bloody well does, that's the whole point of TM, be as fast as you can and precise as you can till get to the point you can't handle it anymore and talent isn't enough. Luck is the only hope you have left.

I'm sure TM is responsible for many a controller through a TV. too.
