I have started trying to combat this by telling my drivers to drive in clean air and avoid curbs during practice because IMO that's just needless wear and tear. I'm there to tune the car and learn the track not top the leaderboard.
All Components will get worn-out through the Season earlyer or later, not only the Engine, Gearbox and atm. ERS. In F1 Manager 2022 the Aerodynamic Componentes were not infected from that, what have changed good thanks in F1 Manger 2023 to adjust the official Managers the real F1 to F3.
The good Infos / Tipps about the Components-Livespan I have got from the Streamers and Self-Test are:
1. The more you use the lighter Matierals (lesser Livespan) you have to pay more later on; that means you have to produce more Components as usual, esp. when you make Car-Upgrades for that Seasons
The Soulution for me if I wanna make my Cars faster, is to use 1 slide to the left (the minimum Livetime-Reduction) to make the Component-Design a little bit better then with the ballanced Design-Process.
2. The more you use the stabilisation Materials (longer Livespan) you have to pay lesser on; that means you have to produce lesser Components as ususal, esp. when you make Car-Upgrades for the Seasons
The negative Effect is that this makes your Cars slower, and to avoid that use either the ballanced Setting or 1 slide to the right (the minimum Livetime-Raise) if you wanna have an ballanced Design-Process.
(i was able to only use 4 gearbox)
I could plan a lil better but i would still need the same extra engine and ERS ferrari engine start losinig power at 80% and at 50-60% is very noticeable and Alfa Romeo need all the love it can! (plus my car has horrible engine cooling performance)
Ngoc give the best Example. That Problem you have in the Predecessor too.
There only helps to construct your Aerodynamic-Components to get the best cooling without forgetting the other important Features (Speed, Air-Reduction, Durability etc.).
On that I set with my first Car-Upgrades for the existing Season and on the Development for my next Car after I have an 100% understanding of my advanced Car-Parts (Level 2 and in some Cases Level 3).
I think i saw one vote during the year for the year after to raise them from 3-2-4 to 4-3-4
I this is cool to try to handle it (3-2-4) if you are a big team with a big budget
for Alfa Romeo add a even harder challenge because our car sux at cooling and the engine compared to how much money we get every month is very high
so it just make it harder for small team in a way
