Glimmer Chain first major update is now available!

This update aims to enhance the user experience based on the valuable feedback we've received from the community. It solidifies the foundation of the game for future content updates!

Glimmer Chain 1.1:

Additions

Completely redesigned the camera, which now always centers on the player.
Improved camera behavior on gears, adding an offset to better follow the player.
Camera is no longer affected by world boundaries.
Redesigned aiming system to improve assistance with mouse and gamepad.
Added a new death animation when exiting world boundaries.
Added camera animation during the victory explosion.
Enhanced decoration across all levels.

Changes
Adjusted parallax effect of the first background layer; it's now slower.
Increased time precision in the rankings, now showing up to 3 decimal places.

Fixes
Fixed recording and playback bugs.
Fixed non-deterministic sounds and player rotation, which caused playback issues and made it frame rate dependent.

Internal
Changed the user save file name: From "levels.sav" to "user.sav".
Implemented automatic backup generation for "user.sav".
Added level versioning to modify levels without breaking existing playbacks.
Implemented a new, more precise frame rate limiter to match the game's frame rate with the monitor's refresh rate.
Improved overall performance by optimizing memory management: using pre-allocated memory chunks and reducing individual allocations.

Technical issues

-There aren't any proper resolution options? I have a 2560x1440 monitor, and it seems like the only resolution options are 1920x1080 and percentage based lower resolutions (25%, 50% and 75%). -Some of the textures seem to be broken? I'm pretty sure the game isn't supposed to look like this https://steamcommunity.com/id/arakus/screenshot/2017097772388844988/ EDIT: Restarting the game fixed this...

NEW: Added settings option to control 5 screen shake intensity levels
NEW: Added settings aim assistance options: Minimum, Medium, High
CHANGE: Made fixed camera transitions relative to player velocity
CHANGE: Decreased default camera shake
FIX: Crash if the computer doesn't have XInput_4.dll. This is critical for users with older computers
FIX: If you use separate buttons for swing and impulse the impulse hook will go to where you swinged last instead of where you aim

Bug related to buttons?

First of all, I just want to say how much fun I've been having swinging around in this game. Really good stuff. I've noticed that sometimes the chain will not attach to buttons sometimes. I noticed it in Kantan, 6 with the blue buttons and Kantan, 8 with the jump pads. Usually reloading the level or backing out completely will take care of it, but it's a bummer when you're zipping around and one of the grapple points doesn't work....
