WF2 Modes and Dedicated Servers
Some of the more intriguing mods, like the pinball mode should be part of the optional play modes for Wreckfest 2.

Also, making our own [dedicated server] shouldn't be so difficult and code-heavy. Maybe some sort of application/play history review to qualify? This way everyone and their dog is less likely to be flooding the game with fake/exploitative/too-casual dedicated servers.

Add your thoughts on either or both issues. We want to know what you think.

As for creating a server/hosting a game, it could be built into the game interface. Something like "Create a game" and fields like game name and basic settings. After creating a game, a built-in management interface (for me it could be text commands, e.g. with the / prefix)
As for mods, I would prefer the base game to be without the pinball mod, let them leave that for the modders.

You cant have criteria to host like play time for a dedicated server. It goes against the reason for having one in the first place. You need to be able to host without even owning/playing the game/having a steam account (for externally rented hardware). Just like now.

They already provide a decent setup of hosting in game with GUI and separate dedicated server that is command line only.

What is really needed is a linux server build so you don't have to waste money on a server with a windows license. And a server app that can utilise all cores on the hardware, so you aren't reliant on renting hardware with a fast single thread speed (more expense)
