Tracks do load slower on a Western Digital hard drive than a SSD drive. But once you into the race, be it offline or online, I don't think your hard drive would be causing any lag?
I not seeing it. Online, if I seeing lag, it usually because I have high PING, like 120 PING when going to Poop east server.
I always try to have the drivers updated, I don't know if that's the problem. I have seen people saying that there are drivers that make the game go badly, other older drivers that are recommended to play Wreckfest.
So far I can't find any solution
- Grass
- SSAO
- Shadows
Settings those three to disabled will give to a significant FPS boost on an AMD card when playing this game. I have to do with with an RX 6800 XT, so I can imagine the hit it takes to a 6400. Nvidia definitely runs the game better that's for sure.
No way i have 6800xt too on 4k all ultra settings, its never under 60 fps
I put the game in the worst possible quality, for some reason it feels worse than when I put it in Ultra, I don't understand what happens.
Games running slower on low settings means the lower settings use CPU instead of GPU. When having a relatively slow CPU and fast GPU, games will run faster on higher settings.
What makes you think that? It's not a high end card at all. And it means nothing if you don't also state the specs of your other pc parts. If you only upgraded the gpu in a system thats years old, you will not get the full performance of the gpu.
Have I already told you that I have played games much more demanding than Wreckfest itself at maximum quality?
Other than that; I'm not the only one having this problem, I've seen people even with AMD 7000 series GPUs and the game runs horrible for them.
The problem is not my computer, as I said before, it must be running the game to spare, something is wrong with the game and the AMD GPUs, since for some reason I have not seen any of these cases with people using Nvidia GPUs . I always look at the specs before buying a game, I'm no fool.
"something is wrong with the game and the AMD GPUs"
only option is to wait for a driver update or a game update or both
My previous pc had a 10 year old i7 and a amd r9 270, and could run this game at max settings, so you're right, something is very very wrong :p
So check what motherboard you have and if the slots are pcie 4. If they aren't, your motherboard may be the bottleneck.
