The gravel track is harder but I think that's more because it's shorter so you have less time to work your way up.
Once you get the hang of throttle and brake control the handling is a lot of fun and quite predictable.
I'm playing the sim Assetto Corsa as well and I find that to be more difficult but not quite as fun/hilarious.
I think the biggest issues atm are low grip and oversensitive steering. When these two are fixed I think it will make a world of difference to the feel of the cars - they would keep the weight and momentum physics which are sim hallmarks and feel so good, but would be more planted and predictable in their behavior, which would make it a little easier.
You really need a control pad, wheel or at least something that has an analog throttle though. The keyboard just doesn't cut it for proper control.
The best I've managed though is 2nd on 24 car tarmac, with no ABS/TC/anti-spin. Would have been 3rd but the car in-front binned it on the last lap (the random skill level of AI makes a change from them being perfect, like in most racing games) :)
Loguc right,.
In the meantime..
