Is this the same engine that BeamNG has been developing?
I've looked at the trailer and it looks exactly like BeamNG Drive's phisics with Ai added to it.

Have a look at how similar it looks

It's not, it's Bugbear's own engine.
Crener 19 ENE 2014 a las 7:15 a. m.
looks almost identical...

truely guys:

BeamNG is CryEngine 3 DX11
Bugbear is Flatout Engine DX9

They both simulate soft-body damage and even have similar style tech demos. I can see the resemblance. Bugbear's seems a bit more advanced though.

looks like Beam has bigger maps though

mite get the beamNG.drive as it looks to be more simulation, the truck actually stops driving and working correctly depending on damage. while the bugbear engine just wads the car into a smaller and smaller ball(but looks nice doing it) but for the most part it still drives.
Crener 19 ENE 2014 a las 9:25 a. m.
there is a free demo too... you can see the diffrence
Rye 19 ENE 2014 a las 9:28 a. m.
yeah i got the tech demos, both are nice, the amount of damage you feel in bugbears is nice. and im looking forward to it. but on the same hand I liked the beamNG.drive tech demo feels less like flatout and more real.

That is what they are going for. I can't wait for them to add AI and acctually finish it. Mabie even release it on steam

BeamNG uses Torque Engine 3D
Bugbear uses their own Engine but it's called ROMU, the name Flatout is owned by the previous publisher of the Flatout Series

I guess that BeamNG is more of a simulation game rather than a racing game which is why you won't see it in that category.

its ok i'll still mess with it, looks like it could be used for a good rock crawler game like RoR or motorM4X

Tbh the current engine has a unknown map limitation. In the sneak peark you can launch physicobjects miles away from the edge of the map before they stop working(we are talking more than 30+ mins flying with free cam)
