Probably not in the default car selection.Devs have stated in the past that they will consider more arcadey stuff as DLC possibly.

someone will probably try and import the old models (not 100% sure if possible,never looked at modding flatout) if there no official one once mod support become available.

In a way I find crude drawings on cars and such somewhat endearing. :P

All in all I really wouldn't mind seeing players have the freedom to trundle around in their landboats decorated as they desire. It gives personality to the game's world.

Have you ever played the martial arts game Toribash? You can over time buy various cosmetic items, including texture slots, which allow you to upload images for certain body parts like head, upper arm, lower arm, chest, stomach, right foot, left thigh, etc! :D

Something similar like unlocking the texture slots of certain parts of your cars could add some kind of leveling/playtime reward, which is really motivitating, but not game breaking, as it's purely cosmetic. it would also, as you said, add alot of variety and personality to the game! :) On Toribash there is a whole community creating artwork for characters bodyparts and you can for example sell texture sets you made in photoshop on the forums for inagme and sometimes even real cash depending on the quality of your work!
