My monitor has 144hz, and in the game the maximum can be set to 60hz. How can I fix this?

Have you tried starting from the launcher? my monitor is 165hz and it recognizes it

Get the WF setup window to come up and check what the refresh rate is set too?:

This bring up WF setup window when you go to start Wreckfest.
