Server hosting not working.

I've tried everything. Port forwarding, firewall changes, config file server starting, in-game server creating. Literally everything I can find online and my friends can't see the server. Why is it such a pain in the ass to try and host instead of like in every other game where you just press "create game", change the settings and you're set.

Because PC Wreckfest uses dedicated server software for online, not a game server like Flatout 2 used. Flatout 2 game server Gamespy was turned off after 6 years. Game server cost Bugbear $$. So that mean if Wreckfest was using a game server, maybe game server would of been turned off last summer ( after 6 years )??

Ya port forwarding can be a pain in the butt to get it working!!! Some get it working, some don't. :(
