Early Access doesn't mean 'early access to the full game'. It means 'early access to an in-development build of the game'. It's more or less a more public beta where the devs can collect feedback and iron out bugs as they churn out content updates until the game's full release. This is what Early Access is and should be used.
As is, the game has met my expectations because I didn't keep my hopes up on unrealistic expectations for the game. My expectation was just a few tracks and some cars. I see that I was not far off the mark and I'm happy because I see a few extra things in there, like animated drivers and more animated vehicle parts.
I can't wait to see how the full game shapes up.
" That's a 'you' problem. YOU set yourself up for disappointment. That's on YOU and only YOU.

It was rather blunt, but Talon's reply is correct about the state of the game itself at least. Wreckfest 2 isn't going to be a fully complete game for a long time; it's in early access for testing of new mechanics and whatnot to ensure that all of the core parts of the game work properly. Only after that's settled will new content get added.
Basically, WF2 looks like WF1 before it was finished because WF2 also isn't finished, hence why it's in early access. If you're looking for a feature-complete game to play with your friends, WF1 is still gonna be your best bet for a while.
To my understanding, Wreckfest 1 started off as just 'Next Car Game' and had nothing but a single area (that would later become the Wrecking Playground long after the game's full release) and a single car. Effectively, it was just a tech demo. Wreckfest 2 has launched with a testing area and three locations (that total out to six track configurations, or technically five if we exclude reversed Savolax Sandpit, and a single demolition arena). So, at the very least, there's more of a game there than how Wreckfest 1 started.

We got 2 cars and I think 2 tracks. 4 1\2 years later, we get full version of Wreckfest 1 release in Jun e 14, 2018

Wreckfest 2 early access, my impression today, WF 2 is sounding and looking great. Bugbear off to a good start. :)
What improvements and new content will we see over the next 12 months of early access?

They have game completion set at a year from now. I'll be back around Christmastime to window shop it. I had bought the tiny Wreckfest sequel but I figured what can they give me as a customer that's Wreckfest 2.0 level without charging me quite a bit more money, sooner than later. Being $30 in isn't ever going to give me anything but a taste of a second Wreckfest (sized) game, like I have now in Wreckfest "1." I have no clear full enough idea of what they "have under the hood," really - or more importantly - how much it will cost me to get [to] completion of no. 2 no sooner than next March, of next year.
It satisfies me NOT that they have a pre-history of EA. I was told by a player who says he's been there since Bugbear began Wreckfest, or something that'd be called that, [that] they began in 2014, four years before launch using EA as a description of what they were doing. *They don't need to do this EA again; Wreckfest has been running on 8 cylinders and at 100 mph since 2018.*
I think they lost the original devs and they haven't the money to just make and release a full 2nd sequel game at this point, seven years later. The second game is due. They must have a pressing need for seed money, I figure, and that is why it is in such a poor unfinished state now. It's spoken of in the sales lit too aspirationally for my comfort, but still I bought it. Now I am going to get a refund. ...Not feeling confident two days later. It should have, could have, been knocked out and complete by now. It is an easy enough sequel to make: demolition derbies, insane novelty danger courses, concrete ovals and grand prix style and folk dirt tracks run on with unlicensed fanciful fun wreckers (mostly). It's not a complicated game to revisit and better by, say, 20% at least. What is this about testing and getting suggestions from $30 customers about what they want!
I buy too many games that looked great in sales copy and trailers only to find out later they were not worth that $100. Wreckfest 2 will have alot of paid DLC, like this game does.
Just raise the money, if possible, and until it's made in a year put COMING SOON back on the Steam store ones' are renting. Do they have even 30 devs currently?
If it exceeds Wreckfest even by 15% I'd pay $100.00 for it.
You where not impress with the better graphics and sound and car physic of Wreckfest 2?

Bugbear Dev Janne is still there. :)
The only "objectionable speech" I used was the F bomb, and my anger was about punitive tariffs that my nation's President is going to hurt the Canadian people with. Being off-topic is not bannable and F bombs are dropped all the time on Steam and appear as four hearts. No human eye ever sees the word ♥♥♥♥.
*Steam Support Moderation finally came clean, after I wrote them three times!, that THEY didn't do it and to contact BUGBEAR if I want to know why.*
I have asked for a refund of Wreckfest 2 because of this unprofessional dishonest behavior. Bugbear won't ever again have me as a customer. One, and done.
The people who made this game I love are probably gone. GONE. In their place is at least one dev who took it upon herself or himself to impersonate Steam moderation and shut me up. So, now this one or a couple peoples' actions cost them the $30.00 and all I'd ever be willing to pay for another Wreckfest game.
