You mean we could see some day, 150+ customs cars put into Wreckfest like we saw done with Flatout 2 when they got their hands on a car modding tool?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDbD9eVI9-8

But I have feeling it may be a little tougher to mod a custom car for Wreckfest than it was for Flatout 2. In Flatout 2, making a custom car was the toughest mod to do, that why I stuck to track making!! Also the car modders learn the ropes with making custom cars for Flatout 1, so made it a little easier to make a custom car for Flatout 2 and the modding community helping out.

they have no funding from publishers and are basically funding this game out of there own pocket, it failts it kicker starter goal so its bascially a passion project and will take some time

The Kickstarter failed because the hardcore Flatout fan that been already following the developing of Next Car Game from the beginning and had a Paypal account, had pre-order from Bugbear web site, http://nextcargame.com/pre-order/ , already. So Kickstarter campaign did not get the big boost at the start, since over 3000 of us had pre-ordered already.

When Kickstarter campaign failed, Bugbear went ahead and release the v1.0 and v2.0 Sneak Peak demos and the demos go viral on YouTube. Then things took off. Bugbear hit their goal 10,000 pre-orders at their web site before Build #1 get release before Christmas. 2013 and then Build #2 get release on Steam early access in January, 2014 and Bugbear see over a 1 million $ in sales the first week.

When it reaches 10,000 pre-ordes?[community.bugbeargames.com]

Bugbear went over $1 million in crowdfunding[http//Bugbear+went+over+%241+million+in+crowdfunding]

Next Car Game made over $1 million dollars in one week!

We're very proud to announce that the official Early Access launch of our titular demolition racing game, aptly titled Next Car Game, has been a huge success. The game was officially launched on Steam mid-January, and it instantly took the Steam Top Sellers chart by storm. In total, the game made over $1,000,000 during one week in sales through our own pre-order site and Steam.

This is an amazing success for a racing game, especially considering our tough road to the success. Along the way we pitched the game to numerous publishers in the hopes that the game would eventually get released. Unfortunately we receive the same response all over again – there were no market for a game like ours. Come on, who would want to race and crash with such old beaters? Well, we would! Because of that we didn't give up, but instead chose to seek crowd-funding on Kickstarter. However, we experienced another setback when our Kickstarter campaign didn't reach the goal we were aiming for.

However, we still believed in the game, and we decided to release a playable technology sneak peek. We were literally awe-struck by the great response the sneak peek received. The pre-order sales skyrocketed, and we reached and actually topped our original Kickstarter funding goal in just week! And most importantly: the success showed us that the players believed in the game.

The players will also be the ones to benefit the most from the success of the game. Thanks to our awesome fans, we finally have a chance to make the game we always intended and shape it into a definite demolition racing experience the players have been yearning for years. We already have some really great new stuff in the works, and if you have any ideas on what you'd like to see in the game, don't hesitate to visit our community forum and let us know!

Congrats to Bugbear for your success! I knew the money was well spent. ;D

Thanks to the overwhelming support of Next Car Game\Wreckfest with $$, Bugbear was able to take a year and overhaul the ROMU game engine and retweak the physics to give us 24 players online and I think we will see a better career mode also than what would been possible with the old game foundation.

Errol and some other users (we love you!) have already put pretty astonishing effort into enabling the use of modded content in the game, and we're ourselves working on the tools as well, so it's safe to say that the day will come when you'll see modded cars and tracks in Wreckfest.

We're doing our best to support modding and make it as painless as possible, but I can already say that importing custom vehicles into Wreckfest won't happen with some effort. This is mainly due to complexity of our vehicle setup; the meshes (vehicle geometry) need to have quite a few dummies (think of them as helpers for the engine) set up correctly, and of course the suspension and tyre setups require carefully setting up as well. However, if you've modded other racing games like rFactor or AC you'll feel mostly at home. When we're ready to release the official tools we'll of course try and create documentation to help you on the way.

And this is possibly the best addition to the game thus far, being able to make our own modded content, thank you

:D

We're planning on adding more features that echo real-world racing, those should also make clean racing easier, and in some sense, forced by the game should the host so wish.
