Semi-clean
My philosophical reflections on the concept/prefix word "semi" in the Wreckfest universe.
It's combining form. a combining form borrowed from Latin, meaning “half,” freely prefixed to English words of any origin, now sometimes with the senses “partially,” “incompletely,” “ somewhat” semiautomatic, semi-final ect.
I argue that semi-clean is synonymous with semi-dirty.
So why didn't semi-dirty catch on in a game like WF, where the main theme is to play "dirty", but semi-clean did?

It's a psychological thing. Since the main theme IS playing dirty, then saying, "semi-dirty" doesn't really register or mean anything to your mind when you see/hear it. Dirty is dirty, after all. But if you say, "semi-clean", then the word "clean" stands out and makes you take notice.

Semi-clean get used with Wreckfest because it pretty tough to race real life clean racing, no touchy racing. But clean racing can be done in Wreckfest with good players. I did a clean racing league once for a season.

Semi-clean about allowing players to "rub" cars while racing, just no corner bombing and taking player wide big time in turns. Avoid pitting. Going 3-4 cars wide in a turn and all cars make it out the backend of turn. :)
