Lawnmower and Sofa car help.
I do fine with everything else, but these two I cannot get a handle on. They are just too squirrely for me and I can barely make a lap in either. Any help?

I must confess I had to use assists with the sofa to get thru.
They are supposed to be weird to drive. They are, after all, just LOLmobiles.

What are assists?

I know, but they can't be impossible. Just looking for any tips without changing my wheel settings which work good for all other vehicles.

Assists are traction control, assisted braking, and stability control in difficulty drop down menu. It's handling has been improved in last update apparently too. I tried with assists but eventually came 1st with all assists off. Avoiding collisions helps too.

The steering for the sofa on the touchy side. might reduce steering sensitivity to a -40.

I use -30 for most cars with my G29 wheel. ( 240 degree rotation )

I tried lower degrees, but I went back to 900. I don't want to have to change main control panel setting every race. in game assists I will try. Any settings there you could share for those 2 vehicles would be appreciated.

same-ish.
Have you been able to complete them? I came looking for advice as well. I've beaten the race, at least once. But, I did not get the star. So, I came back to it. And it is horrid really. IMHO it might be much too tough for an 'Amateur' race tbh. Lawnmower was just as bad at first.
It was bad enough just getting to finish first, but to completely WRECK another sofa in the process seems to me unattainable for a majority.

They are a pain to drive. I dont use assists and i can have success with them most of the times. But i try to avoid them because i dont feel the driving experience enjoyable at all with them. The only trick i would give you is that try to drive in straight line as much as you can lol. And dont be afraid taking curves at high speeds, fortunately they dont slide like crazy like regular cars. Thats probably the only positive thing about sofas or any other lolcar. Also, locking the differential helps.

:summer2019flag: Been tinkering with the assists and stuff. I still feel like the cars are too apt to spin-out when you start from 0. The lag time between pressing, and the wheels actually moving, and not just spinning in place. :summer2019raceway:
I've turned off everything I can find, so far. All the assist sliders are at 0, or 5 or 10, etc. Putting the accelerator slider to nothing and the 'saturation' to 0 still lets the tires spin on almost any car I have tried. Not one that I can think of has traction to touch acceptance.:summer2019raceway:
I can't hardly ever get a smooth natural rolling off the line go. You have to hesitate or compensate in some way. I just cannot find a natural easy correlation for the gas pedal.
:summer2019cone:It's why I feel tire selection would be nice in this, not just a cosmetic application. Make the tires mean something. :summer2019cone:
Improving the suspensions would also be nice. It would be nicer if all the 'cosmetic' things could be more meaningful, imho.
A wasted possibility, and a wasted opportunity. Could be a bonanza of functionality and appeal wait just under that hood. (Lighter hoods, heavier hoods, reinforced hoods, solid tires, tacky(like the slicks), exhausts that throttle the Horse Power, as well as manifolds, etc. :summer2019raceway:
There are times when the option to slightly stifle a better motor may yield better results.
Adjusting ground clearances also a viable play option. Vehicles with higher clearance and meaningful rugged tires could be great stable platforms, and good for overall game appeal.
