I'd say you shouldn't hold your breath for this game to actually finish :)

Looking at that link with Google translation, it look like Bugbear owe some back taxes again. Page does not say how much, just that it over 10,000 euro.

At least it not a creditor that want back rent. :)

If Bugbear can hold off the tax man until Bugbear release final version of Wreckfest early next year. Bugbear could pull through this. :)

Awesome guys! I really am pulling for Bugbear to make it through these difficult times. Possibly bankrupt but still pushing out updates. Love the attitude. Don't let the nay-sayers and the taxman drag you down.

I certainly hope not. The only problem I've had with NextCarGame is the rate in which updates are released. The Game itself is fantastic. They've been great about timely updates recently but thats a major plus compared to the first year this game was in EA.

The new update introduced modding support. This worries me a little. They suddenly rushed out modding right after we found out about this whole bankruptcy thing. This is usually something developers do when they know they won't work on the game much longer but they want the game to live on through community content. This worked fine with games like rFactor and doesn't necessarily mean the game is abandoned forever. It could also mean that the game is close to being finished. But I'm still a little worried.

Anyway, nice job on mod support, this will keep the game alive for a long time!

We don't know if they "rushed it out" though. It could have been in the works for a long time. Nobody knows their development cycle except BugBear. Though that point still has me a bit worried, now that you've mentioned it.

As a fan of this game, I'd like to put my two cents in. I've been reading the Bugbear community forum and on there people are saying that Bugbear didn't directly file. That it was a creditor who did. There's also news from 2014 about Bugbear filing for bankruptcy but having made money through Steam on the game they paid back the money they owed, and they filing was cancled out. So in my opinion, I don't think they are done. I believe a lot of this is a misunderstanding as people tend to get overwhelmed and jump to conclusions. http://community.bugbeargames.com/index.php?topic=8733.0 - Then this is where it states that the Bugbear's bankruptcy from 2014, which was forced was paid off and they were doing good. So I'm thinking someone somewhere got all this information mixed up and posted something and now it's just a mess. But it's just a theory.
