So, is this like Burnout?
Does it also have a mode specifically about destroying the car for points?

I would say that's the default mode :)

Wrecking always awards points, regardless of what mode you're playing. It's a very valid and important tactic in races, and it's the entire point of derby and deathmatch mode.

Although I would like to say, this game is nothing like Burnout. It's much more technical. There's no boost button and no drift button, if anything the core driving feels like Dirt or Project CARS. And unlike Burnout, taking your opponents down takes some guile and a basic understanding of physics. You can't just sideswipe them and hope for the best.

Gameplay is similar but not as Micheal Bay-ish.

Burnout was all about arcade style gameplay of going as ludicrously fast as possible while Wreckfest is more grounded arcade style with more reallistic physics and damage models for cars. If you want a more Burnout experience go play Bugbear's older franchise called Flatout which as I recall has 3 to 4 games for it.

It's basically a mix of racing and demolition derbies, with a ton of awesome crashes :)

Is it all Demo-Derby or are there proper race tracks like in the Flatout series?
I REALLY want another Flatout :1: :Heart_Gem:

Thanks for any answers in advance :steamhappy:

Plenty of race tracks, with multiple routes and directions.

Burnout is much faster-paced and way more arcade-like than this game.

More tracks than derbies, and the derbies are optional. Although they're a lot of fun and you probably will opt-in once you've got a tough enough car.

I definately will as I did in Flatout, but I preffer the tracks :steamhappy:

They feel a little bit different to Flatout's derbies, thanks to better physics. Cars behave a lot more logically: a vehicle with a lot of mass will be very hard to stop, even by other large cars. So you see a lot more rollovers and airborn shenanigens. Makes things that much more fun.

Another key difference is that armour is removable here. So after you've had your fun, you can strip the armour back off and turn your tank back into a race car. It's a nice touch; cars are expensive and this way your money goes a lot further.

Yet another massive change is that cars aren't locked into a single class anymore. Each car has three swappable engines, letting you promote or demote each chassis at will. Most of the really great war machines are B-Class by default, but you can boost them up to A-Class once you reach that level. Again, it's a really nice and thoughtful touch that lets you keep driving the cars you enjoy.
