why would you use mouse and keyboard for a driving game?? get a x box controller at least and be happy to not have to keyboard many games.. keyboard is king for some games, not this one.

This is very true. I know of a few top tier drivers that kick controller and even wheel users butts regularly. With using manual shifting and limited/no assists at that. For whatever reason unlike with most other racing games you legit have an equal chance no matter which method you use.

Lmao, me and my friend bought this game and re-binded Arrow keys to W, A, S, D and pressed save. Played for 15 hours so far and it just WORKS. Imagine being a lazy zoomer in 2022.

i'd like to point out that wreckfest is all about being tough and rolling with the punches...

one single lap on most servers is enough to leave your car smashed to bits and your ego torn to shreds unless you are able to adapt to the unexpected

Why should this game be held to standards, keyboard!? Any keyboard layout? Uugh. Like damn near every game on the planet it should be judged on how well it is controllable using an Xbox type controller. I use a Thrustmaster joystick and it's set up to work well on that. I'll wager that a microsoft type controller of which their are many (even Steam made one, which I bought long ago) controls the game well. Thinking that a car racing game should out of the box be dual-mapped on non-querty keyboards and angry that it is not is mighty odd. Gamers who don't have the foreign! querty and so they DO need two because *keyboards are a go-to games controller for them* should empty their piggy bank and get the other.

mouse and keyboard default to arrow keys to move? no camera controls binded at all. what kinda insane dev doesnt know common mouse and keyboard controls and forces u to rebind every single key to ur liking. so i didnt bother with that, tried a controller, but the controller is automatically bound so a and b buttons do the exact same thing, so when u try to rebind and hit accept it backs out of the menu without saving, and u cant save it by clicking with a mouse or it auto sets to mouse keyboard and doesnt apply to controller settings. literally the worst controller bs ive seen in any game ever

Originally all racing games in the 90s/Early 00s used the arrow keys to control driving. This was the norm. Midtown Madness, Need For Speed, V-Rally, list goes on. Camera controls aren't default to most keyboard available racing titles. C to change view was really it. Why break a formula thats been used for literal decades. Get a controller or rebind and stop crying. YOU may not like the layout, but the rest of the KBM players make do, so should you.
