Any updates on VR support for this game?
I really enjoy playing this game and I would really love to have native VR support. I know you can make VorpX work with this game I just hoped to have native support considering how much VR is growing.

Wouldn't count on it, but would love to see it though.

Not realistic to expect any big additions like VR or split screen to be supported by the game at this point. Just continued tournament additions and that's it.

VorpX costs a decent amount.(Cheaper or FREE alternatives) HelixVision costs $5.(Does not work on Wreckfest) TriDef VR is free and works with Wreckfest, no longer updated. Gives you a flat screen you can curve and move closer or farther away, and a few settings. Cool for a bit but not the same as native VR support.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Tridef/comments/eqxi8j/tridef_download_links/ Download in top post. Install, turn on headset, put on head, load TriDef VR on PC, then point to Wreckfest_x64.exe(It will load SteamVR on its own when you open TriDef)

Odd. Maybe something to do with the last update? I've seen others say they use it just fine before.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic... but I'm hoping that when the PSVR2 comes out we might see a bit of an uplift in VR mods. Once there's a few million of them out there, it might make sense for devs to put the time into turning their games into VR versions.
Especially since it would give Sony a point of difference to xbox.
It would even make sense for Sony to 'encourage' VR ports, with everyone talking about game pass. If I could get VR ports of games on PSVR2 at no extra charge, it would be tempting to be buying all my games there. Also... it'd be plug n' play and just work & be optimized.
Vorpx doesn't do proper Geometry 3D on Wreckfest. It's the (fake) Z3d.
I spent the weekend trying to get a bunch of stuff working in Helixvision. I got one game (Wreckfest) working out of around a dozen. It's too much of a pain messing around with 3rd party stuff. And even when it works, you need a n RTX 4080 to have it run well at a decent resolution.
The PS5 aint a beast, GPU wise. But they have some impressive foveated rendering vids up that give you up to 2.5x the performance in VR. And there is bound to be a PS5 pro. So it should be a great VR experience. And if they do VR versions for console, I can imagine those versions porting over to PC.
But wishful thinking, I know.

How dare you post that? You know people are going to say it's not accurate. Because it's an opt-in. And VR people are more likely to opt-out of a hardware survey! So the numbers are wrong.

if you believe the VR, erm, cultist.

If VR headset sales are increasing, and VR usage is declining on this platform then it indicates that multiple game devs and steam have failed to capture a significant and growing section of the audience.

And due to the pointless, klunky and resource stealing Steam VR interface I am not surprised, its easier to install a work around then it is to have to step into that crap and leave it running just to run the game that was always the only intent.

VR for this game wont be playable imo

Hopefully the inclusion of VR in the new F1 game brings along a bit of a groundswell in support.

Being that driving games are such a natural fit for VR, and that they compliment the platform so well its surprising that any new title is being developed without it.

Have high hopes for VR in the Wreckfest Sequel.
