https://www.reddit.com/r/Tridef/comments/eqxi8j/tridef_download_links/ Download in top post. Install, turn on headset, put on head, load TriDef VR on PC, then point to Wreckfest_x64.exe(It will load SteamVR on its own when you open TriDef)
Especially since it would give Sony a point of difference to xbox.
It would even make sense for Sony to 'encourage' VR ports, with everyone talking about game pass. If I could get VR ports of games on PSVR2 at no extra charge, it would be tempting to be buying all my games there. Also... it'd be plug n' play and just work & be optimized.
Vorpx doesn't do proper Geometry 3D on Wreckfest. It's the (fake) Z3d.
I spent the weekend trying to get a bunch of stuff working in Helixvision. I got one game (Wreckfest) working out of around a dozen. It's too much of a pain messing around with 3rd party stuff. And even when it works, you need a n RTX 4080 to have it run well at a decent resolution.
The PS5 aint a beast, GPU wise. But they have some impressive foveated rendering vids up that give you up to 2.5x the performance in VR. And there is bound to be a PS5 pro. So it should be a great VR experience. And if they do VR versions for console, I can imagine those versions porting over to PC.
But wishful thinking, I know.
VR users have been going down.
if you believe the VR, erm, cultist.
And due to the pointless, klunky and resource stealing Steam VR interface I am not surprised, its easier to install a work around then it is to have to step into that crap and leave it running just to run the game that was always the only intent.
Being that driving games are such a natural fit for VR, and that they compliment the platform so well its surprising that any new title is being developed without it.
Have high hopes for VR in the Wreckfest Sequel.
