Stop putting Mud Pit derbies in the tournament. How is not having traction, navigating a giant crater that separates you from the pack, and random bumps that ruin your momentum and your aim supposed to be fun?

Couple that with AI that seems to know that you are trying to chain your hits together so they inexplicably drive away in reverse in situations that don't call for it simply for the reason to lessen your impact? Aren't these AI cars in a derby too?

Seriously, Mud Pit is NOT fun.

yeah i hate it too, best i could get is 7069 by just resetting the whole time because you cant accelerate for ♥♥♥♥ once you hit someone

As with all derby events in the tournament(especially mud pit) the reset function is your friend.

If this is the course I think it is, IT SUCKS! How many times have I led the race only to mistime some f****** bump and wind up in the crater and at the back of the pack. I hate this damn course.

OP literally says derby lol not even the same thing you're talking about. As for the oval you're thinking of congrats you found the limit of where you shouldn't be. Now you know better.

I like the mud pit derbies. I just drift around the edge of the rim of the crater to build momentum then swing into whoever I can.
The derbies that do suck in tournament mode are the large arenas where everyone's so spread out that chaining a combo is very difficult.
Although I equally never play the derbies to win. I don't need the fame points so I just use the events to mess about.

The mud track oval is in track rotation of semi-clean server I go too, on Sat nights.

Problem is not in Mud Pit, problem is in AI. It is not problem that they know what you do, problem is, player's car and AI has different behavior (player's car have physics, while AI has none) and it is completly unfair and not a fun.
