I wanted to upgrade from my 960 4GB video to a new 1060 for my new gaming computer. The 1060 3GB was more affordable at round $200 back in April, but that seem be a downgrade from my 960, so had pay $350 ( $100 more what I care to pay for a new video card ) to get the 1060 6GB.

Wreckfest definitely want all the vram it can get if want to enable all the game's eye candy.

RX580 also beats 1060 6GB.
I think AMD and GTX 770 had a few glitches with this game during early access that gave those cards a bad rap.

As far as FPS the modern mainstream Radeons do a good job.

Edit: Good call to go with the 6GB 1060 over the 3GB version.

The RX 570 is priced between the 2 versions of the GTX1060 the 3GB and 6GB, and equally performs between the 2 for most benchmark processes it does seem that memory capacity has more effect than the GPU processors.

The RX580 is the most expensive card in this price bracket and seems to perform alongside the GTX1060 6GB.

on a serious note Freesync monitors are cheap and plentifull the Gsync monitors are getting cheaper but are still less readily available in some sizes.

So depending on what you are using and how much you are replacing and your budget any of the cards are viable.

the x4 msaa handicaps these low ram cards u can get away with ultra with a 3gb card without the msaa. since release my vega became butter smooth holding around 90fps with same settings as in the video (3:24). max vram ive seen with mods x4msaa is 7ish gb but i think 6gb would do for just about everything may be dropping down 2 x2 msaa if u wona run some crazy mods.

game runs pretty good now but still looked slightly better 2 years ago
