LZ4 decompress failed: retval -15

Hello,
currently my game gets error while loading : LZ4 decompress failed: Retval -15, Path (...)\userdata\(....)\(...)local\wreckfest\career,cres"
Any idea what's wrong and how to fix it without losing progress?

First thing to do is reboot computer, does error still happen?

If so, try verifying Wreckfest files. This work for others that got this error.

Unfortunatelly so far still doesn't work. For me looks that file career.cres is somehow broken... One mentioned in path got 1kb while ones from backups got 25kb...

Try this test, see if it a bad career file causing this error:

Try renaming the \wreckfest save folder to something like \wreckfest-test. This should make Wreckfest make a new folder with new save files.

If don't know where your Steam is installed, you can right click on Steam shortcut, go properties. Will show where Steam at on your hard drive.

Will need to disable Steam Cloud also:

If Wreckfest start now, but you at level 1, go here to see if you got a backup career file you can use:

If it a bad career file and have swap in an older backup career file, you may loose some Fame points and anything you bought between now and when \backup folder was created.

Thanks for help :) I renamed carrer.cres and put one from backup (from 9.02.2021). Then I started game with local save (not cloud one when game showed info that save game files are different between local and cloud). Currently game works and I think that I still have all my progress. :D
