The answer to that question only the devs know. I assume it is because they looked at Google images of Bombshell Betty, a salt flat racing car and the Hotshot seemed the only vehicle that kinda resembled it, so they used it as a base.

still asking way to much fame for it. i barely play tourny mode, just enough to keep 200-250k so i can buy stuff when it drops but this is dumb and doesnt reward the majority of "enthusiast" player base because they mostly play online. at least for pc.
most all my friends who have around 1000 hrs or more of play time (i personaly have over 2500hrs) dont play it or care to other than to get the fast cars.

Yup, its insane. But its wreckfest, and the devs apparently dont play the game at all. Some people will tell you its ok because it is a "grand prize" whatever that means, but those are jut patronizing fanboys who will never say anything negative about anything. The car is not anything special, doesnt have anything extra or whatever, it is just another car. In fact it is just a hotshot with different body parts lol. But the main flaw here is that you cant put that price when we dont even have enough events to reach that amount in a reasonable amount of time. But again, bugbear doing things in the wrong way. I guess people are used to it.

If its a piece of crap then don't buy it problem solved. I just run the dailys most days and I don't get golds everyday but still had plenty of fame for the new car and paint jobs.

Sure, if you have been saved fame for the whole time you have been playing, without buying anything, its easy to say. But most of us are not in that situation. Also, like me many people dont even bother with the tournament because its pretty bad, and we probably only do the dailies and multiplayer, thats all. I dont even bother with the big tournament events. Sure i try em to see if they are fun and all that, but i dont put efforts on getting not even bronze. Also no, i dont come from work to be frustrated just to be able to get bronze, i come from work to have fun. And the devs apparently dont understand that. Many people dont have the guts to try for hours a semi-impossible event just to get bronze. But anyways it doesnt matter thats not the point.

The point is, to have such amount of fame you would need to have saved a lot of FAME already. Most of us wasted it on other things from the store. If you didnt, good for you, but you are probably in the minority here.

Just make everything in the tourney store 1 fame so these people that do not want to put the effort in to get them, can have everything. Or.... just do like this current generation of "gamer" seem to prefer, let them throw real cash to buy fame so they don't have to actually put any effort in to it? Maybe then they will stop with all the excuses as to why they "cant" earn them and how they should get them for doing little to nothing? Then........ once that doesn't work..... call anyone willing to work for it "fanboys" or some other derogatory name. Say whatever makes you feel better about yourselves being too lazy to earn something.

These are the same guys crying about the early backer car (the Bandit). Its not fair that they cant get it. Isnt that the purpose of having a backer car? To reward the "Fanboys" who played this game from when it was 4 cars 5 tracks and single player only. Who had to endure Build 6 lol.

Hey I don't have that backer car....... so wreckfest sucks...just like Primus.....
