Hello, with the new driver from AMD 21.7.2 i have Graphic Issues, with Grass and Trees

i have the same for 2 days , on the day races thing ?? ( amd 6900 ) i on 21.7.2 AMD driver - ?? windows 11 -

no fix yet , why is it only in this game -- trees & Grass , or so ??

Same here, Graphics look quite funny. Will not downgrade however, since other games rely on new driver.

No issues, AMD 6900 XT on 21.7.1 driver... roll back from 21.7.2 with a clean install imo

The new driver only supports Chernobylite and fixes a specific RX Radeon Vii crash with Resident Evil Village, in the 1st mission.

Same issues (broken grass and trees) with a AMD 5700 XT on 21.7.2 driver (clean install with restart). I reported it to AMD.
It works again after a driver downgrade to 21.7.1.

5700XT. Also, after the Wreckfest graphical update, experiencing 30-40 FPS because of a lack of power used. Used to be able to fix it by restarting the GPU driver but doesn't work anymore. It used to happen only if I played another game first (very weird issue for me).

Already reported to AMD.

Upgrade AMD drivers have a long history of being trash. I never trust the new drivers-I wait to see what the other users encounter.
I have never allowed automatic upgrades to anything in my PC, much less something as important as video card drivers.

I have the same problem with my 6900 XT and last AMD Driver 21.7.2. Their drivers are very bad, since I have this card when I increase/decrease volume or show info of my AVR it's glitchy... black box without texts.

Nvidia or AMD, don't download optional BETA drivers unless you need to for a specific game or a fixed issue. They're called a beta driver for a reason. Use WHQL drivers instead.

Two fixes:
- Roll back to 21.7.1 Optional BETA driver
- Roll back to 21.6.1 Recommended (WHQL)

You should NEVER EVER update drivers unless there is a spcific reason for that, like critical fixes or maybe some fixes for some games you are playing. But people keep thinking that new drivers will be always better than previous ones... many times its not the case.

But again videogaming industry is in its worst state since decades ago. And today, many games, specially AAA titles require you to have an specific version of the latest driver to actually work. Yeah, thats how "good" is the videogaming industry these days. Then, you can play that game, but you have many problems on other games, because as i said, newer drivers are not always better, many times its the opposite around. But videogaming companies dont care about this since they gain even more profits making accords with nvidia, microsoft, or whatever to use their latest drivers. And they dont care if half of the playerbase cant even play to other games. Its how it works these days.

Sorry but his is complete wrong. Especially the gpu drivers include important security patches, api updates, new features and fixes which are important for the developers of new games. They are not like a bios update and even this can be very important for security reasons.

If drivers are not working correct after a update, you can always downgrade them.


Windows update is providing the same drivers which you would get from the companys itself. Maybe only not the newest ones.

And the microsoft defender is one of the best antivirus tools you can have.
