DLC cars are OP
like really, why is the raiden so fast in stock trim?
thing's mid engine, it should not be given the same power as a fwd car.. litterally has all the traction in the world.
why is the mini cooper-like able to corner like that? i've seen it keep 85+kph doing 160°+ steep turns on dirt.
the hot rod has NO buisness being in compact class.
it feels like it's twice as heavy as the rest of the cars. also it's handling (by the ai) is ridiculuous. there's enough torpedoes already. it makes folks racing racetracks a nightmare.
i could understand an old bangers class with 1930's style bodies, but it's ridiculuous how this tanky this thing is.
fact, i'm looking for a way to cut that car off the game alltogether.

i have the dlc cars now and really, there no reason to switch back to the others in career mode. they are just broken.

even mod cars dont come close to how cheaty they get.

DLC vehicles are OP compared to base/career vehicles? Somewhat yes but at least they aren't broken OP like the tourney vehicles.

Eh, some are very powerful, yes. The Raiden RS is for sure one of the best cars nut for nut, bolt for bolt in game, but the Roadslayer is also one of the most competitive vehicles as well. The Super Venom and the Hammerhead RS take the cake though. A lot of the DLC cars have some serious downsides, and each one is designed to fill a different role. Some are better than others, but if I'm being honest, I find my favourites are still the standard cars, especially the Starbeast. As for the Outlaw, its handling is abysmal, and the reason it's a compact is because there's currently no US cars filling that space. I'm sure we'll see more in the future. TBH, even though the AI is disgusting with certain cars, when actual players use them it's a different story. To me, the Outlaw is a derby-only compact. It suits its position because it absolutely sucks at any sort of tight track. It's torpedoing you because that's how the AI is programmed. It figures that it's not going to make the turn, so it just bullrushes you at the first corner. IMO, having this level of diversity helps the game, as it would be pretty boring if the compact class didn't have any outliers. That being said, yes, the Speedie (Mini) is absurd. I notice the AI is godlike with it, thankfully, they're easy to spin or to punt into a wall due to their short wheelbase. As for online play, I haven't encountered too many players using it.

I really hope Bugbear will do a balance pass for these overperformers at some point... Dudes on Raidens, HHRS and SVs who can drive well are literally unbeatable, unless you're in the same car.

Exactly what BlackShark said. Many of the DLC vehicles are designed to fill a specific role, and the ones that are powerful have big downsides (Raiden RS for instance has less power and low natural strength, meaning you can catch it on straights and wreck it very easily). As for the Speedie (which is what I assume you are referring to by the mini vehicle), the AI is insane when using it (since they have strong assists and spin-out resistance), but that is also the case with other vehicles the AI uses, even base game ones.

As an addendum to what I posted earlier, you'll also notice various vehicles are suited to different classes. Some might be absolute dogs in C class, but perfect for B, and kind of ok in A. It's a huge learning process and ultimately it's on you to find what cars you like best and your choice is to either tailor your driving style to various cars and learn them, or, you can do what a lot of competitive online players do, and pick one or two and get very, very good with them. If I may make a few recommendations for non-dlc cars based on my personal tastes.

- Roadslayer: An acceleration king. Tons of torque, balanced handling.
- Starbeast: Another torque monster, very well balanced, drifty but stable.
- Boomer RS: Weak, but very quick and turns on a dime.
- Gatecrasher: Slow, bouncy, but it's good for bullying AI. Great for holding your ground too.
- Rocket: One of the best balanced cars in the game, but not as competitive online.
- Rammer RS: A Rammer, but better. Balanced and quick, a good middle ground.

Those are just a few of my non DLC go-to cars. Again, a lot of it is going to come down to your preferences. Bugbear does balancing passes from time to time, but keep in mind that they also specifically design each car to be different from the rest. If you're looking to be as quick as possible online, get the Super Venom or Hammerhead RS, and the Roadslayer is a great alternative while you grind out the fame.

Again, sorry for my bias towards V8 cars, that's my cup of tea, but you get guys who run nothing but euro or imports and they dominate. The servers you play on will make a big difference in what car you choose and how you kit it out. (Dirty, Semi-Clean, Clean)

Anyways, cheers bud, and I'm sorry to spam you. I just wanna help you enjoy the game more if possible, and not to discredit your feelings at all man. I have my issues with this game as well, mostly with the god awful AI, but if Bugbear has gotten anything mostly right with this game, it's the sheer variety or vehicles and the difference between handling models. Sometimes our favourite cars just aren't that good, and sometimes the way they balance DLC cars makes them better in the majority of situations, but worse in others. I love the Starbeast but it's just nowhere near as competitive as some of it's rivals. Remember, there's a counter to everything too. On a "Clean" server destroying a wolfpack of Raiden players with your Gatecrasher isn't ok, but if you're on more relaxed servers, I don't think anyone would have an issue with you demolishing a Raiden RS before it can distance itself from the pack. The player might be upset, but this is Wreckfest after all.

Take care.

All DLC cars are mediocre racers in A-class except for literally what the OP mentioned, Speedie and Raiden are indeed very quick and maneuverable machines but late-game career cars outmatch a vast majority of them. Yes, some of them do perform better in C class or B class but I don't play in those classes much.

Now when it comes to derbies? Yes, there are a quite a few DLC vehicles that have sheer weight and durability advantage over almost (if not) ALL base game cars...
