Mud, Rain and dirt, oh my!
Since dirt accumulates onto cars now, can there be a feature in a future update where the cars can be splatted with mud? Or, the cars can drive through puddles to wash the dirt and mud off? Or hell, why not add rain as a weather option?

Can we let them to actually improve the dirt feature they just introduced? because right now it looks more like a paint layer than anything else. Looks ridiculous. There are not even normal detail on the dirt. And some wheels still dont get dirty as well. This is an advanced feature and they need first to polish the one just introduced. Dont be in such a hurry.
I'm not in a hurry. I know how "frequent" the game's update are. And yes, I know how iffy the dirt looks on the cars over time. I'm just spitballing, dude.

How dare you, apparently.

Yeah it would be nice to have actual puddles at least even if rain isn't realistically possible.

In fact, there is mud and dirt, particularly you can see very cool rain effect on Wild Horse Motorpark Wet course from TVTP2 and puddles on Downpour City courses, as Purple mentioned. I really wish there was rain weather preset in the game. It looks so cool, just incredible! Doesn't really have to affect handling, we all know WF isn't a sim, but visually would be great to race in.

Yeah. That's what I'm saying. It wouldn't necessarily hurt the handling of the cars, but it would look cool and add more depth to constantly driving on dirt and gravel. And yeah, Downpour City is pretty cool, but I can't help but wonder where the map is from. It looks like it came from Rigs of Rods or Beam NG Drive or something.

The rain effect is actually a rather hacky method for now, as there currently are no supported weather settings :) Short summarised it is actually a object that spawns particles based on a sprite sheet, which I then manipulated the sizes of (longer in one direction, color change, speed change etc.). The issue with it is that it has a max range and max number of particles, which means it won't work on larger maps (you can't duplicate this object without issues).

On Downpour City the puddles are decals made out of a very reflective transparent material. The city is pure fiction and nkt based on anything. Was sort of a test whether I could make a City :)

lol, Downpour City is way too complex and "beautiful" to be a beam ng track lmao. What a joke.

Oh ok. That's really sick though. I was just thinking Downpour City looked very similar to an old Rigs of Rods(Beta BeamNG Drive I guess) map.
