It wouldn't be so bad if Bugbear nerfed vehicles sensibly. All they seem to do is make every car just ♥♥♥♥ to drive, instead of simply decreasing their Perfomance points. Every car that's been patched has had the fun sucked out of them in terms of handling.
Why have default content like the Muddigger nerfed to hell, and replace it with DLC content like the Hearse, which is pretty much what the MD used to be?
Maybe this gives you an idea. But also look towards the end of the video, just how many people were driving Muddiggers.
A lot of people argued that they were over-powered and needed a nerf. But what they got just destroyed them as a usable vehicle. But then they were replaced by DLC content anyway, that pretty much did the same thing.

And while most players online in the game seem to favour no rules servers that encourage driving buses the wrong way, the game has little hope anyway.
The Vandal is everything the Muddigger should have been tbh
