Multiplayer should just disable all driver aids for everyone.

No ABS, no traction control, no stability control. NOTHING. Nobody gets any of that so the playing field is actually even! Most of that stuff is never available in a real-life derby situation anyway. Maybe ABS but that's it.

Well, I heard somewhere that if you drive without assists your car is faster, so you get a bonus over assissts users if you can handle it of course.

Not exactly. From what I've heard, the meta setup is Half stability (or the other assist whatever it was called) and Half ABS.

some are better without any on
others are better with some assists

I am a no assist cockpit view wheel user
but I don't begrudge other players who use assists, a game pad and chase cam
after all it's just a casual fun race and crash game, to each his own I say

yeah, but some people just want specific server where everyone will be in the same boat with them, no assists cockpit view, its cool idea I guess, there still will be servers with free choice of assists and views

Unless you can remove hoods from cars, it's a bad idea. You can end up unable to see anything when your car is damaged, and forced to actually smash into stuff until it falls off.

You can force both via mods (cockpit only + no assists) in your own server (all players must run the same mod/s).

We run no assists (all settings = disabled) with the Online Bangers mod servers. So its possible to do the same with the vanilla game.

Server settings would be nice though.

These people with heavy feet will be slower, as usual, using driver aids. If you're losing against these people, you may just need to get better at driving.

No ABS, for many reasons. ABS on loose surfaces is also much much slower anyway.

Yes. It'd be a lot more fun if some players didn't have an advantage over others. Most are saying they actually make you slower. But that's not true for those who just gas it around every corner. People go by me around corners in the same exact car like they're on train tracks. I know, because I can do the same sort of thing when I turn on all of the assists. It's just not very sporting to use driver aids in a game like this, imo.
