Yeah, those guys suck. Not saying I want the game to be the next iRacing, GT Sport or whatever. But It'd be nice to have a decent competition amongst players that didn't cheat or find a way to cheese better times.

We are working on an anti-cheat system and we keep track of cheaters so they will get punished as soon as it is in place.

not even worth doing the event

We clean up the leaderboards rather often and there is a lot of legit players getting up to gold without any major problems so I strongly disagree with that one.

Considering I got 200k spare points after I bought everything in the store, it's hardly that urgent.
Still important ofcourse, but waiting for it to be done right instead of a quick fix, seems fair enough.

I like having shortcuts on a track. They are usually narrow and punish you by stopping you if you do not follow a specific route but how weak minded do you have to be to alter the code of a game to appear better than you are. If you can't earn top score, steal it. Pathetic...

I agree with Zyddie, it is still worth competing in events but we need some sort of verification that the times are legit. People ♥♥♥♥♥ about DRM systems but if they stave off cheating I am all for them. I do not care if people cheat in single player races but definitely not multiplayer. I do not understand the need to cheat at all. I have played this game for 5 years and I am constantly learning new ways to improve my times. So many people are not interested in earning their position.

On the first shot I can tell that only the guy at the top is cheating (ThatInsaneHobo). I think Mad Scientist's 1:57.1 is legit, but he still might be cheating, who knows. Same for all other gold players, really i.e some of the mediocre gold times might be also from cheaters who want to get gold without working for it. For example on the second shot ThatInsaneHobo's result looks legit (score wise), but he'sprobably cheating there too.

With my first try i did 2:13, shortly after that did 2:01.79 (kinda lucky) and after that tried countless times, working with settings, practicing and finally dropped to 2:00.93. And I know for a fact I can drop another second or so but that would require too much work (and luck) on my end and I might just leave it at that.

Overall this is one of the easiest weekly challenges. Yes, there are not exploits like in the previous weekly, but its not a technical track at all. Its very easy. If you are halfway decent you can easily go 2:03 which will be enough for gold.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain that Mad Scientists time is within the realm of possibility. With enough resets and luck with traffic I could see a run like that coming together. I'll keep trying, but only until I hit sub 2:00.

But running a 1:23.xxx is just laughably obvious.

You would think an anti-cheat system would have been in place BEFORE the tournament patch even happened... hmmmm.

What do you need to do to get a 2:03 time? Is it mostly luck?

cleaning up after the fact does not solve the initial problem of the event being flawed
and the obvious sub 90 second time is still on the leader board, so not cleaned up
creating an event that allows cheaters punish legit players is the issue
if the event had a set time for bronze, silver, and gold, the cheaters would still cheat, but it would have no effect on legit players, and that is why I say it is not worth doing these events
(I may still try though)

It will be almost impossible to have any anti-cheat in a game that is as easily modded as Wreckfest. I knew a long time ago that this would happen in this game , too.
Someone will have to spend time manually removing the obviously cheated results.
Have fun.
All racing games that aren't sims have cheaters, it is just the way things are. You can't expect morality from the self-entitled weenies that cheat in games.

I have all the items too, but i'm saving up but my main problem is the challenges being easy then randomly hard each day its annoying. not to mention hits not registering its so annoying. I love the game but i'm hating it at the same time.

Do you record your races? Would love to see one coz i for the life of me can't get below 2:12. I';m an ok driver, not that good but have an entry in the top 100 fastest laps ever on one of the tracks so i go ok sometimes but buggered if i can get below 2:12 and i feel like i'm driving the track pretty well?

I can not even see where i could pull 5 seconds for silver so clearly i'm doing something fundamentaly wrong
