Tips for Gold at Kingston Raceway Time Event

I just started this event and i'm hardly getting bronze. What spec's and tricks should I try to do better? I tried stiff suspension, short gear ratio, limited differential, and rear brake balance. Any help is great.

But i cant do that for 8 laps. I did it to gain fast position #1 and then i turn around normaly. My tuning was 3, 3, 4, 1 - my time after that 2:27:8 or something.

Its really hard to do, because you have to drive really correctly, or you become a checkpoint failure.

I knew the method for gold was going to involve cutting the corners like the video shows. Heck, it was the same method I used to get gold on the previous event too.

Thank you so much for the video LOOK. My time went from 2:33 to 2:27 in one run getting the gold. I practiced that track for a 15 minutes. I was able to cut the corner before the finish line easy, but the corner after the finish line I couldn't. Kept getting resetted. Again Thank you for your help.

Not my run, but yes, the corner is not easy, so i can do this for 3 - 4 laps, but thats it, 8 laps 15 corners, no way.


Btw. What i really want to know, how this dude can use the throttle trigger (gamepad) so smooth, its impossible for me to do.

I can second the fact that the corners are not easy, especially the first one. I just managed to complete a Gold Trophy run (about 2:25) and it was much more tedious and annoying than I first thought. Had to be super precise every lap and also had to hope the AI didn't decide to create a roadblock or downright push me into a wall.

I hope the next weekly tournament isn't as tedious as this one.

I had a 2:27.9 running the track as intended. Ran a 2:21.xxx within three attempts with this nonsense.

There's accessories that you can buy for your controllers that extend the length of the triggers giving you more precise control. Certain aftermarket controllers also come with those. Or they've been racing with a controller for years and years and know their points.
