For the variety. Do you want more(sometimes better) options?

Most DLC cars are upgrade-able and one of the DLC is fastest car online in the right hands.

For us that been racing and derbying with Wreckfest since 2014, it nice have some more new cars to play with and to help support the Bugbear Devs so they can continue to develop Wreckfest more. :)

With the season pass, you get cars, more visual and more/heavier armor parts. Some cars are more or less as a joke, although fun in an organised friendly race manner. Others are hard to give an opinion, but they do indeed have stats of their own. Raiden is the most popular DLC car of choice, often being in top global leaderboard rankings. (me however am more fan of Dragslayer)

some of the DLC cars look cool

If you want heavier/tougher but less maneuverable cars, there are options like the Wingman and Gran Duke.

Pitting your big vintage Wingman against a bunch of AI Wingmen can be fun. I painted a ton of custom skins.

Wingman and Outlaw AI sets and skin pack(Hotshots,Bulldogs too)

Just for the looks, you can virtually get anything by just doing events/ leveling up.

No. Better base armor or speed or handling. Each vehicle drives different based on the car setup or the performance parts or armor parts chosen.

Don't even bother. I unfortunately got the expansion pack. I wish I hadn't.. Complete waste of money on a POS overachieving Bot game.

One of the best aspects of Wreckfest is the huge variety of vehicles to play with. The DLC is a way to get a more diverse roster of cars while also giving some money to the devs for their hard work is a great deal.

I bought 2 DLC packs for the cars thinking I could enter them in the races as part of my Garage choice..... turns out 99% of the time the DLC pack cars aren't eligible and some can't mod very much either in the workshop.... I assume if you are creating a custom event for a laugh then DLC cars are worth it but for the game play unless somebody can kindly guide me to the correct way of using them I wouldn't waste money on DLC packs as it appears to me they are money making not really to be used as part of the main game

Just reading up the comments before me, IF this is a way to get people to donate to the WreckFest budget for developing the game I am all for that however make the purchases usable within the game rather than eligible for 1 or 2 races in the whole game

Races in the campaign are restricted by class, drive train, type, and region. If a car meets all of these requirements except class, you can mod it with an engine swap and other parts. Some events when the game first came out only had one or two eligible cars.

Over half of the DLC cars will work in most Career mode events.

All of them work online.

However, some of the Modified Monsters pack may or may be restricted in some Career events. I haven't tried those in Career.

If you're exclusively focused on offline Career, I'd start with other DLC packs than Modified Monsters. The other DLC packs are better fits to Career mode anyway.

There is a way to get AI to use 1 season pass car:

Can open your own player host, restrict car to Host car, pick the bumper car and then click the add bots button and they will have the car you picked, Give your host a password so others don't join your player host.

All Bumper car derby in the small asphalt derby pit, is a fun derby with the bumper car. Just did it online. :)

After got AI using the season pass car, can change car restriction to none, then you can change to another car, if you want too.

And you can find some custom AI set in Steam Workshop to get to race some the DLC cars. Do a search for: ai set
