Wreckfest Not Using Forwarded Server Game Port?
I am running a LAN-to-LAN cascaded router setup with my computer connected via ethernet to the secondary router. I've been trying for the past 3 days to get a server up and running to play w/ some friends, but the game doesn't to open to open the game port. This is despite port "33540" coming up as forwarded through:

-PFPortChecker

-test running the port for other game servers (that is, by running a server on empyrion/minecraft through port 33540) and checking via yougetsignal.com (on phone while disconnected from wifi to my public ip with port 33540) successfully. I also have a port checker application running so I can SEE the programs from the other games actively listening for port 33540, no-dice for wreckfest tho.

Of course, I make sure the port isn't occupied before running the server (ie closing pfportchecker/other game servers). Again, despite the port working on other games, it doesn't seem to want to when I try this one. Here are some noteworthy things I have tried off the top of my head:

-DMZ

-forwarding on only one router

-running wreckfest's dedicated server as well as in-game hosting and the workshop server manager

-changing the game port in server_config to 25565/30000 (minecraft/empyrion ports)

-made sure lan=0 in server_config

-ensuring the port is open in windows firewall both outbound/inbound

-adding wreckfest.exe to firewall manually

- resetting windows firewall rules and doing ^^^^ again
-to that end, if I run "netsh firewall show state" in cmd it shows that all ports are "open on all network interfaces

-restarting my computer

-restarting the routers

-as mentioned before, running the port on other games (which was successful)

-verifying the other steam ports (ie 27000-27037, 4380) are open on both udp/tcp

-verifying integrity of dedicated server files and game files (I can connect to all servers (no version mismatch) as well as my own server via ipv4)

-probably a bunch of other stuff, but I'm open to other ideas

The only feedback I get from the command prompt running wreckfest's dedicated server is "Starting server..." and then "Server is connected to steam." Also on the port checker, it shows remote port 443 is established on my ipv4 address (to some random local port), and UDP 27016 is used by wreckfest.exe as well as some UDP >50000 on local address 0.0.0.0, NOTHING in reference to the game port. I can, however, see the server on Steam's Servers > Lan tab with the address being my ipv4 with port 33540, but, of course, not on the public tab.

As you can probably tell, I use forum posts as a LAST resort after doing as much troubleshooting on my own as possible, but this has truly stumped me.With that said, any help is appreciated.

edit: I also have no antivirus running other than the default windows defender

edit 2: I just added exclusions to steam/game/server folders to windows defender, still nothing

Reading your post, does not seem you have forward the 3 ports that are needed:

PORT FORWARDING
Forwarding correct ports is an absolutely requirement for hosting a multiplayer game. If you have created a server yet there are no players joining it, chances are your router or firewall is incorrectly configured. In order to host multiplayer games over Steam your network must be configured to allow Steam access to the following ports:

UDP 27015
UDP 27016
UDP 33540
TCP 27015

I have though, on both my routers I've forwarded 27000-27037 on both TCP and UDP, and 33540 on UDP for my ipv4 address. All of those show I've forwarded them on PFPortChecker

Sorry, I use to just forwarding one port at a time.

If they arent', make sure your PC's IP is still 192.168.192.3 like shown in your picture. It is possible that changed with a recent router reboot if your PC is set to obtain an IP via DHCP.

Is there a chance your public IP address is changing? It not permanent?

I'll try forwarding 1 port at a time on the router (I did so for my firewall) but it shows 27016 was being used successfully so I would think the others would be fine too. In regards to my IP, running "ipconfig /all" shows my ipv4 hasn't changed - I set it up to be a static IP.

edit: after forwarding 1 port at a time nothing changed

Hi Bob, I don't believe you mentioned what versions of windows you are using. With W10 1803 to 1809 on a PC previously upgraded from W7 I have experienced some strange network permission issues on some of my client's PCs. For the hell of it, did you try running everything as admin?

Still nothing :/

Yeah idk, the game doesn't seem to want to use the game port at all :L

Hey, I've followed these instructions but the server only appears in the LAN tab, unviewable by my friends even when we are using digital LAN software.
The Ports I opened are as follows:
UDP/TCP 27015
UDP 27016
UDP 33540

I've tried the workshop server manager as well with no luck. Am I missing something?

This guy on the Setting Up Server Forum seems to have the same issue too <.<

Same here. It used to work before the fall Wreckfest update.
